Asbury United Methodist Church subscribes to the church taking an active role in the lives of our children just as the lives of our children should take an active role in the church. What better way to provide this interaction than our Asbury UMC Children's Ministry?

Our guidance begins at childhood and shines bright as our children grow. A personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is our goal through a deeper understanding of the Christian faith. We offer many opportunities for spiritual development with our children's ministries.

Asbury UMC has a wide variety of programs for children:

Children's Nursery provides Child Care from 10:00-11:30 AM on Sunday.

Sunday Church School begins at 10:30 A.M. and is offered beginning at age 3. Children leave the Worship Center immediately after the Children's story.

Summer Sunday School Begins June 27 and ends August 29 for children's grades 1 through 6 (no Sunday School July 4). Mission Study - Sudan.

Summer activities include Vacation Bible School.

Summer Camping programs are available for grades 4 through Senior High School at our two United Methodist camping facilities, Camp Aldersgate south of Lowville and Casowasco on Owasco Lake near Auburn.
