Preserve the Past...Secure the Future

Capital Project Planning and the Capital Financial Campaign

Capital Project Planning and the Capital Financial Campaign began in 2018 with the total project exceeding $690,000.

Phases are:

  1. Replace the Church Roof and provide Major Repairs/Painting of the Tower.
  2. Enhance the sanctuary with important upgrades such as a new Sound System, technology, and repairs from water damage.
  3. Re-pointing of the exterior South wall.

Asbury Church, over 100 years old (education wing added in 1965), is blessed with people who are generous with their time, talents, giving, and prayers.  Asbury, as a Pillar of the North Country Community, fully supports: The Urban Mission (it began at Asbury); Dollar Dinners open to the public; New Day Child Care Center offers quality care each week for preschoolers;  the Northern Choral Society annual performances, Vacation Bible School open to the public each summer; North Country Music Society; Public Events such as Teen Stars, Swing Dancing with the Arrhythmias, North Country Fiddlers, Dancing and Silent Auctions, etc.

We appreciate generous donors like you so that we can reach Asbury’s Capital Project goal of preserving this stunningly beautiful church building.  Click here for online giving.

Please contact the church office at 315-782-3240 to learn more about how you can help.  Asbury is a non-profit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code so your donation is fully tax deductible.  Thank you very much for your interest and support.  May God bless you.

Covid-19 Notice

Everyone who enters Asbury must wear a mask. On Sunday morning, everyone enters through one entrance—Sterling Street—where a friendly usher will seat you 6 feet apart to ensure safe social distancing (the elevator is open at the Franklin Street entrance). Due to COVID restrictions and our desire to keep everyone safe and healthy, Nursery Care and Sunday School are curtailed for the time being. Several groups, such as Choirs, are not currently gathering because of social distancing restrictions. Some groups are meeting via Zoom and other groups have temporarily suspended their normal meeting time or place (these are being continuously reevaluated). We encourage you to contact the Asbury Church Office at 315-782-3240 to acquire the latest information.
