Seeking to Live God's Dream - Celebrating the Spirit

Worship is the center of our life as a congregation, and we welcome all to join us!  Sunday morning worship at Asbury is rich with praise songs, anthems, children’s messages, fortified by scripture and a stimulating message followed by Coffee Fellowship.  We have an inspiring blend of music provided by our choirs, praise bands, soloists and instrumentalists, handbells, and ensembles.

We celebrate the Sacrament of Communion on the first Sunday of every month.  Everyone is welcome at the Lord’s table without exception.  Our services are kid-friendly.  We laugh, we hug, we experience emotions because God opens our hearts each week to a blessed experience.

Greeters & Ushers

Our greeters and ushers are a true treasure!  Anyone can be a Greeter on Sunday at one of Asbury’s three entrances.  The ushers love it when newcomers want to become part of this diverse, well-trained group.  Asbury ushers help with all services and special events.    Ushers greet, assist and meet any worshippers’ needs.  They provide bulletins, help with seating, collect the titles/offerings, provide security, and act as a liaison to the Church Nursery.

Covid-19 Notice

Everyone who enters Asbury must wear a mask. On Sunday morning, everyone enters through one entrance—Sterling Street—where a friendly usher will seat you 6 feet apart to ensure safe social distancing (the elevator is open at the Franklin Street entrance). Due to COVID restrictions and our desire to keep everyone safe and healthy, Nursery Care and Sunday School are curtailed for the time being. Several groups, such as Choirs, are not currently gathering because of social distancing restrictions. Some groups are meeting via Zoom and other groups have temporarily suspended their normal meeting time or place (these are being continuously reevaluated). We encourage you to contact the Asbury Church Office at 315-782-3240 to acquire the latest information.
